About this Event
Join us on Thursday 27th November at 12.30 for an interactive workshop on how to support men’s mental health.
Men are three times more likely to die by suicide than women. Boys underperform in school, and fewer men earn degrees. They face higher risks of addiction, incarceration, and premature death, whether from workplace accidents, war, or violence. In the UK, men’s life expectancy is four years shorter than women’s.
Beyond these statistics, many men feel lost about how to relate to masculinity. Many struggle to find positive role models, leaving them uncertain about their identity and place in society.
The workshop explores:
· How cultural expectations around masculinity contribute to mental health struggles, isolation, and a loss of purpose.
· Ways to challenge limiting male stereotypes, including the pressure to suppress emotions or avoid seeking help.
· Practical strategies to improve men’s mental health, both individually and within organisations.
Enjoy a delicious lunch from Two Hands alongside the session!
Lunch served from 12:15pm, session from 12:30-1:30pm.
