We Met in Miami First Anniversary Bash

Party with us this Valentine’s Day! You’re invited to celebrate We Met in Miami’s first anniversary. We’ll celebrate a whole year of making deeper, more meaningful connections with this free creative experience at Little Bohemia Miami.

Step up to the open mic: Attendees are invited to share their music, poetry, spoken word, comedy or other short performance on the themes of love and friendship.

Plus, pitch your single friend! It’s a trend that’s sweeping the country: People give hilarious and sweet short presentations about their single friends. As always, we’ll wear wristbands that show others what we’re looking for: green for love, blue for friendship and rainbow for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. (Yes, you can wear more than one!) 

And if you meet someone special, we’ll help you reconnect after the event.

Complimentary Topo Chico will be provided. 

Alcoholic beverages and tacos will be available for purchase.

This event is fully outdoors.

Free parking is available in the Churchills parking lot. There is also street parking nearby.

Here’s what to expect:

9 p.m. Check in. Get your wristbands and name tags. Grab a drink or a taco and start mingling. Sign up for the open mic!

9:45 p.m. Welcome. We’ll begin with some opening introductions and a paired icebreaker.

10 p.m. Pitch your single friend! Our open mic will kick off with a series of 3-5 minute presentations where folks will pitch their single friends to the crowd. Advance signup required. More info here.

11 p.m. Creative open mic. Attendees are invited to share music, poetry, spoken word, comedy or other short performances on the themes of love and friendship.

Little Bohemia Miami is an artist community, where artists live and work. It is their home. It is not a bar, a restaurant or a traditional event venue — for example, the bathroom on premises available for attendees’ use is also a bathroom used by residents of the community. Attendees are expected to treat this sanctuary with respect.
