We Hike to Heal - New Castle, DE FREE Women's End of Year Group Hike

We'll be hiking the Battery Park trail at Battery which is a 3.7 mile trail just a few miles south of Wilmington. This is a easy water-side hike with scenic views throughout. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race!

Once we reach the end of the trail, we'll plan to take a break to catch our breath, enjoy the view and do a little gratitude journaling!

Note: The entire trail is estimated to be in the gentle grade category (3% or less). This trail will likely be navigable for most wheelchairs/mobility equipment or stroller users.

Location/Directions: 0, Delaware St, New Castle, DE 19720. We will meet at the base of the Pier at 1:00 PM and start our hike at 1:15.

What you will need for this hike:

• Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)
• Layers of clothing (gloves and thermals recommended for December hikes)
• Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
• Comfortable moisture-wicking clothing - workout clothes work just fine!
• A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
• A towel to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground
• Your journal and a pen
