We hear the harbour: a workshop on sound

Would you like to explore making sounds without the pressure of performing music? Moreover, what do you feel about creating sounds using only your body? Starting from thumping your feet, breathing into cupped palms and dozens of other individual and group possibilities! This workshop for both adults & children/adolescents is essentially a sonic playground. Look forward to creating some impromptu ensemble scores too!

The workshop will be led by Akash Narendran, a Bangalore based artist who has engaged with music and theatre for more than a decade now. When he's not facilitating workshops for organisations or performing playback theatre, you may find him singing in the lullaby show 'Songs of Sleep'.

Age range: 12 to 18years

Note: This workshop will be conducted in English, with Kannada translation.

Note: This workshop ticket also gives you a free entry to any one of the two plays happening on the day - Navayana (Fresh Air) at 5pm or Level Up at 7:30pm
