About this Event
Women's lives were circumscribed in 18th century America. The lives of women, who became wives and mothers, were bound by law to their husbands' business activities, their husbands ownership of any property they brought to the marriage and the prescribed duty of keeping the home and raising the children.
Yet women were not without their opinions, political and otherwise. Even within their prescribed parameters women expressed their opinions and hopes through actions and words, without which the push for independence could not have succeeded. This presentation explores some of the ways in which women made their voices known, contributing vitally to the success of the American Revolution.
Tickets for this event are $10 and $5 of each ticket will be donated to the Rowan Museum. Limit of 25 tickets.
