We Go Together Cookie Decorating Class at Black Sheep Coffee

Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies?! Dessert Valley Sweets is here to help! In this 1.5-hour class, we'll cover the basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with Royal Icing, talk about how to strategize the best ways to decorate sugar cookies, and cover the general concepts around dough and icing! Everything you'll need is provided in class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).

This class is for the beginner cookier or for the person who is just curious about what cookie decorating is all about! If you have limited experience with sugar cookies, found yourself frustrated with royal icing, or if you're trying to have fun with family or friends, this is the class for you! We will be doing a fun Valentine’s Day theme set that tastes amazing and will look even better once you’ve completed your decorating!

We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 6 cookies, 4 icing colors, sprinkles, and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!

This class is on 01/13/2026 and starts at 6:00PM – 7:30PM sharp so we can have enough time to decorate and answer along the way. Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating for up to 12 people! It's a blast whether you're coming with a friend, family member, or solo!

This class is good for ages 10 and over, but if you'd like to leave the kiddos at home, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you the class PowerPoint so you can teach them yourself!

The class will be helped at The Black Sheep in Downtown Glendale,AZ located at 5717 West Glendale Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301. Nervous about the parking situation? Don’t be! Parking is pretty easy - They've got a designated lot behind the building!

These classes are based in Downtown Glendale and cater to the beginner cookier or people just looking to have fun learning a new skill. Whether you just want a fun date, a girls-or-guys-night-out or just want to explore what cookie decorating is on your own - we have a seat for you.

For our classes, all you will need to bring is yourself (and an apron if you are a messy decorator), and I’ll take care of the rest. Oh – and bring eyeglasses so you can see the instructional PowerPoint if your eyesight is anything like mine. You will get a set of pre-baked cookies (pretty tasty if I do say so myself) as well as all the supplies you will need to decorate them during the 1.5 hour class. You will leave the class with your very own box of your very own newly decorated cookies!

A little about me – I’ve been baking sugar cookies since 2023 – and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate are Weddings, Halloween, anything birthday and bachelorette! – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do –who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world!

Cancelation / Refund / Sick Policy

Showing Symptoms Before 3 Days Out:

If you’re sick prior to the 3-day refund cutoff, you can cancel for a full refund! And might we say thank you for quarantining. To request a refund you'll go through Eventbrite.

Showing Symptoms After 3-Days Out:

For any sickness symptoms prior to your class’s start time but after the 3-day refund policy, please email us before your class’s start time, and we’ll give you a credit for the next class!

You Don't Show Up or Email Prior To Class:

If I do not hear from you before your class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit even if you're sick. So please reach out before class if you’re feeling sick!

DIY / Add-On Kits

Order your sugar cookie class kit and take the class home with you to teach a child or friend! These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, and I’ll email you the class PowerPoint so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie Class DIY Kits are created before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class.

How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best.

Class Cancelation Policy: Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund including your Eventbrite fees.

Classes with attendance below 6 people will be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either get a class credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 3 before the event is canceled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day.
