We Celebrate the Light

Join High Five Books for a sparkling interfaith holiday celebration for families with beloved local author Heidi E.Y. Stemple, in loving memory of her mom, legendary author Jane Yolen.
On Sunday, December 13, 4:30-5:30pm, families are invited to BOMBYX Center for Arts & Equity to listen to Little Roots perform and hear Heidi read her and Jane’s co-written picture book WE CELEBRATE THE LIGHT, an empowering, informative, and inclusive holiday book for families of all traditions.
Now in its third year, this twinkly celebration takes on special meaning as we explore together how to honor loved ones who are no longer with us this holiday season.
High Five Books will have all of Jane and Heidi’s books for sale, and families are welcome to bring their own copies for signing.
Tickets are pay-what-you-will, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
