Isn’t food the best? Isn’t eating cool? Isn’t making sure that all our friends, relatives, neighbors and co-workers have access to healthy food both gratifying and what communities do?
Isn’t sleeping in a bit the day after Thanksgiving and paying a bit more for your holiday gift purchases the perfect reward for being a kind soul? Ok- maybe a bit of an explanation is warranted:
For the past 117 years (give or take) EVERYbody Reads, along with our dear friends at Triple Goddess and Creating Heroes Stephen’s Way, has hosted a “We Care Friday” fundraising event for the Garden Project of the Greater Lansing Food Bank. This year, as we have in years past, we will again be offering our clientele the opportunity to pay 10% more for their purchases. We will match that 10% and add an additional 5% so that 25-cents of every dollar spent will go to the Garden Project! Participation is optional, but ALWAYS appreciated!
“Black Friday,” is for corporations. “We Care Friday,” is for community!
