We are Waltham storytelling workshop 2026

For this generative workshop you will receive some notes on story telling and prompts a few weeks ahead of the event. To get the most out of this experience, please come to the workshop with one or more ideas or drafts (500 words or so) of true stories from your life that transformed or shaped your ideas or life. It can be a small incident or a huge life changing event or even just a moment of insight that led to a big change inside you. NOTE: This is not a spectator event. Attendees are required to being a story idea to the workshop or work on a new idea within it.

Workshop structure

• There will be a short writing session during class to edit your draft based on the instruction you have received. This time can also be used to draft a new story idea.
• You will then work with a coach assigned to your group (of 4 or 5) and get 5 minutes to share your story draft/idea. The Coach will dedicate a few minutes to giving you feedback to improve your story, help you if you are stuck or answer questions.
• At the end, you can volunteer to tell your draft story to the entire workshop (around 20 attendees, 6 coaches and instructor, Chandreyee).
• There will be no video-recording unless permitted by each teller.
• Light refreshments will be provided.
