Get ready for an evening of straight-ahead, swinging piano-trio jazz with We 3 at The Robo Lounge.
The trio brings together Josh Smiley on piano, Bennett Young on bass and Ilios Steryannis on drums, with a repertoire rooted in the classic piano-trio tradition. Their music draws inspiration from the legendary 1958 We Three recording by Phineas Newborn Jr., Roy Haynes and Paul Chambers, while exploring the work of composers including Oscar Pettiford, Benny Golson and Thelonious Monk.
