National Lutheran Choir Christmas Concert: "Bearing the Promise"
This year, the National Lutheran Choir's Christmas concert isn't at its usual home. With the Basilica of St. Mary under construction, the choir is performing this program at only three churches this season, and Wayzata Community Church is the only one hosting it on a Sunday afternoon.
The concert turns toward the figures of Mary and the Christ child: not only mother and son, but prophet and fulfillment, bearer of justice and its incarnation, vessel of disruption and the disruption itself. Mary's song, the Magnificat, becomes a lens for reconciliation, the lifting of the lowly, the reordering of power, and points toward the one in whom that hope takes fragile human form.
Sunday, December 13 | 4:00 p.m.
Tickets: $35 Adults | Youth & Students (18 and under) Free with Reserved Ticket
