Join me, my pals Ben, Dustin, Chad and the whole WBKR team on WBKR’s front lawn at 3301 Frederica Street to support St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Yard Party is the official send-off before I head to Tanzania and climb Mt. Kilimanjaro with a group of St. Jude Heroes the following week.
Lure Smoke Shack will be serving up pulled pork sandwiches with jicama slaw, Green River Bourbon BBQ sauce or gold BBQ sauce on a potato bun with loaded potato salad and roasted street corn salad on the side. Plates are available for a suggested donation of $15 to benefit St. Jude.
You can order ahead online for the whole office. We'll deliver orders of six or more within the city limits of Owensboro between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Place your order by Tuesday, Oct. 1 to ensure availability. Or show up anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to hang out with us, enjoy the food and music.
