Since first appearing in Australia 2006, Waylon P. Flawstane – or as he’s widely known, ‘The Colonel’ – has hosted and been house DJ at The Tackleshack, the secret VVIP venue at the Splendour In The Grass festival. This mythical juke joint is a place of legendary wild and loose times with a soundtrack to fit!
The Colonel has continued to bring the good times of the deep south to countless festivals and club stages across Australia since then, including hosting his own venue at the Groundwater
Country Festival annually since 2017- The Colonel’s Country Cottage Disco.
The Colonel plays a high-energy, intoxicating, southern fried mixture of country, soul, swamp blues, vintage r’n’b, country, early rock’n’roll, bluegrass, dirty funk, banjo bangers…oh…..and country & western.
