Join us for an intimate acoustic set with and coming artist Chris Depoian. Chris is on tour and was gracious enough to stop by to play at our pub. Chris’ love for music started at an early age when he would watch his dad’s band perform and loved the way the kick drum rattled his rib cage. For more than twenty years, Chris has been writing and performing his heartfelt songs, whether it's a ballad in the vein of Ed Sheeran, or an angsty upbeat tune a la the Foo Fighters, that share life lessons he’s learned in a melancholy yet hopeful spirit. That journey has taken him to arenas, living rooms, and everything in between across the Midwest. In the last year he’s played for Cities 97’s (Minnesota's #1 pop radio station) Live On The Lake on top of a plethora of venues around the Twin Cities.
In the last year, Depoian has:
-Performed for Cities 97's Live On The Lake (and doing it again in July)
-Held a monthly residency at a local restaurant
-Performed at and have been asked to return to: Elm Creek Brewing in Champlin, Hayes Pub in Buffalo, Aegir Brewing in Elk River, Heavy Rotation in Brooklyn Park, and LTD in Hopkins
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM DEPOIAN'S LIVE PERFORMANCE
Speaking in 1st person now (😆), as a singer and acoustic guitarist I typically perform a mix of covers (from the 60's to now with a little emphasis on 90's tunes) and originals. I use a loop pedal to fill out the sound a bit and perform guitar solos. I pride myself in connecting with the audience by taking requests and sometimes being able to perform a song on the spot I've never played before.
