Wax Mannequin's music veers from psych folk and art punk to absurdist metal, churning with dark satire. Unsettling imagery and ambitious, hook-laden musicality frame a steady questioning of identity, politics and the strangeness of being. Wax has released 8 records and has appeared on thousands of pub, gallery and festival stages worldwide.
THE KETTLE BLACK
After spending the last decade and a half playing in bands that are too dysfunctional to tour, The Kettle Black has decided to start playing shows again. The ProgFollkArtPunk will be touring across Canada this summer. Candles/paper mache/ loop pedals and a projector are in the mix this time around. Claiming to know all the solutions to all the problems the world has to offer, the self described T-shirt salesman thought to give it one last chance before AI extinguishes the human race.
