Watts Township Supervisors Meeting

HELP US FILL THE ROOM!!! These meetings are getting critical and your participation matters greatly if you want to help preserve Watts Township and Perry County. Remember what happened back in April when we were forced to meet outside? Things really began changing. Let's keep the pressure up and make sure our supervisors are working for the residents and not being pushed around and bullied by out of state developers who are filing lawsuits to try and get their way.
When massive data-center projects come into a community, staying home and hoping someone else will speak up isn't a strategy.
Communities that showed up, packed meetings, asked questions, challenged proposals and made their voices impossible to ignore have already scored important victories.
In Archbald, more than 200 residents packed a meeting before borough council voted 5–0 to deny an 18-building data-center campus.
In East Vincent Township, sustained community opposition was followed by a unanimous vote rejecting a proposed 1.9-million-square-foot data center.
In Montour County, commissioners rejected a major rezoning request connected to a proposed data-center development after months of community opposition.
And in Hazle Township, residents packed meetings and helped stop Project Hazelnut from moving forward after identifying problems with the development process.
These communities won by showing up and we need to do the same.
WATTS TOWNSHIP SUPERVISORS MEETING
Tuesday, November 17 • 6:00 PM
If you live in Watts Township or care about what happens to our community, please come to the meeting.
Bring your neighbors, your questions, your concerns, your signs and voice.
You don't have to be an expert, and you don't have to give a speech. Just being there sends the message that our community is paying attention.
The decisions being made now can affect our roads, property, electricity, water, noise, taxes, development and quality of life for years to come.
Don't wait until decisions have already been made to ask what happened.
November 17. 6:00 PM.
Please show up, speak up, and stay involved.
The communities that make a difference are the ones that refuse to be silent.
