Waterways & Cycleways

Heading out from the train station along the canal to Boots where we'll take the bridge over to Wilford and back to the city via the Embankment and the Meadows. A mainly flat route using cycle paths and canal paths.

We welcome women of all ages, abilities and backgrounds, we ride at the pace of the slowest rider and stop for breaks whenever you want.

You’ll be in safe hands, we’re experienced ride leaders who love cycling. Before and during the ride we will be sharing all the tips and tricks to get the most out of cycling.

This ride is organised by Women in Tandem, a Community Interest Company based in Nottingham that aims to support and empower women to ride bikes. The session is funded by The National Lottery Reaching Communities Fund.

You won’t need anything fancy, just a bike that rides, comfortable weather-appropriate clothing, water, snacks and some enthusiasm for cycling! Let us know if there is anything we can do to help enable you to join this ride.
