Watermark 2026 Reportage Session: Tour of Owámniyomni (St. Anthony Falls)

Owámniyomni (St. Anthony Falls) has been a place of profound spiritual and cultural significance for Dakota and other Indigenous people for countless generations, yet most Minnesotans know nothing of this long history. Join Barry Hand, program director of Owámniyomni Okhódayapi, for a 60-minute visit of the Falls and the Upper Lock specially organized for Watermark 2026. Learn about Dakota lifeways, the significance of the River, and the Mní Sóta Dakota Tribes’ vision for cultural and environmental restoration.

Meet at the plaza outside Owámniyomni Okhódayapi (100 Portland Avenue South Suite 10, Minneapolis, MN 55401) at 9am on Saturday, September 26th. The tour will last 9:15-10:15am.
