The 2026 WaterDog Open will be one of the largest Kayak bass fishing tournaments in the state. Utilizing White Lake, White River, Muskegon Lake and Muskegon River these fisheries repeatedly provide huge bag limits and a plethora of sizable bass, both Largemouth and Smallmouth. The fishing is some of the best in the state and this time of year, it’s even better!Details:
Anglers are required to fish both bodies of water. For example, if you decide to fish Muskegon Lake, or Muskegon River on day one, you must fish White Lake, or White river on day two.
There is no up river boundary, but you must launch at one of the approved boat launches. For safety reasons, we will have a boundary at the pier heads of each body of water heading into Lake Michigan.
Saturday night check-in will not be required but encouraged. WaterDog Outfitters will fire up the grill and provide food and drinks to those who would like to swing by. This is a great way to socialize with fellow anglers and relax after a long day on the water. Sunday check-in is mandatory and you must be present to win any and all door prizes.
Speaking of prizes, along with a plethora of door prizes, one lucky angler will be walking away with a Bonafide PWR powered by the Garmin Force Current. 7” Garmin fish finder, Bioenno lithium battery and Bonafides upgrade Pro Angler captains chair. This is a $6500 kayak setups and we are giving it away!!!!
$80 entry fee for this 2 day tournament. The Tacull app will be utilized for this event. Reserve your rooms, campgrounds and air b&b’s soon. This timeframe also coincides with Waite Lakes maritime festival so the area will be buzzing with people.
