WHAT YOU WILL LEARN IN THIS WORKSHOP
Improve your composition by interpreting and simplifying photos and adding a sprinkling of imagination.
Simplify and minimise the figure , no faces or details needed, we focus on basic proportion and suggesting movement with drapes of fabric to suggest simple groups of figures .
Explore flowing colour hues and use light, shadows & tone to create a vibrant paintings .
Nicky shows you the stages of creating this artwork in informative demonstrations so you can enjoy exploring your own colour combinations creating your own unique painting alongside her as you learn good watercolour practice and tried and tested methods.
There will be lots of helpful tricks and tips offered to guide you on how to elevate your skills with this challenging yet magical medium of watercolour. You can transfer the tips and knowledge Nicky offers to many other subject matters in watercolour and other mediums, particularly what you learn about tone,colour and composition.

Nicky is an accomplished professional artist specialising in tutoring watercolour painting. She hosts regular 1 day workshops at her studio in Milton Keynes , Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire and tutors guest workshops, residential painting holidays and art demonstrations for art societies throughout the UK. She uses traditional watercolour methods in a loose and lively contemporary style.
She aims to help students improve their painting skills and grow their creative flair in a productive and enthusiastic friendly environment.
