About this Event
WHAT?
Through a series of practical exercises and projects, participants will learn how to create captivating watercolour art on paper. The course will cover foundational painting techniques, color theory, perspectives, and compositions. Participants will developed the skills to enjoy creating delightful watercolour art on a varied range of projects such as bookmarks, post-cards, and toned paper. Samples shown are only for illustration purpose.

• Appreciate and understand the watercolour medium.
• Ability in painting different themes with watercolour.
• Understand the light and shadow of water-colouring.
• Ability in creating watercolour painting with texture.

1. Watercolour paint in tubes 12 colour
2. Three Brushes with different sizes
3. Watercolour palette
4. Watercolour papers 300g cold pressed
Participants to bring:
1. HB or 2B Pencil, easer, ruler
2. Small water container
3. Used newspapers
4. Rag
COURSE FEE:
$290.00 per person
$58 for seniors eligible for National Silver Academy (NSA) subsidy
National Silver Academy
- NSA subsidy is for Singaporeans and Permanent Residents aged 50 and above.
SkillsFuture Credit
- In addition to NSA subsidy, course fee may be offset by SkillsFuture Credit (SFC).
- All tickets purchased with the intent to use SkillsFuture Credit to offset the course fee will be subject to a non-refundable $10 administrative fee.
Notes:
- Course payments are non-refundable, non-transferable.
- There are NO make-ups if you miss any of the art course sessions.
- Missing a session does not disqualify you from taking part in the course - the trainer is not obligated to recap what was missed.
- Brahm Centre reserves the right to replan the course should the trainer be unable to conduct the class due to unforeseen circumstances.
- By purchasing a ticket you are consenting to the use of photos and/or videos taken during activities for records and promotional purposes.
- Please note that there is no elevator at Labrador venue, and access is via stairs only.

Step 1 (on Skillsfuture Website): Check your SkillsFuture credit balance.
Log into your SkillsFuture Portal to confirm you have sufficient SkillsFuture Credit balance (Take note: $4K SkillsFuture Career Transition Credits CANNOT be used for Brahm Centre courses).

Step 2 (on Eventbrite Website): Securing your ticket.
On Eventbrite, search for the course you are interested in.

Step 3 (on Eventbrite Website): Select correct ticket type & complete registration.
Select the intended Ticket Type (either NSA+SkillsFuture or Individual+SkillsFuture) and complete your registration. Upon successful registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail containing information about the course.
Save/Screenshot the confirmation. (you will use this in the following steps)
Step 4 (on Skillsfuture Website): Submit your SkillsFuture claim.
Go back to the SkillsFuture Portal to submit a claim under 'E-Services'.

Please submit your SkillsFuture credit claim 60 days BEFORE the course commencement, for it to be valid. Deadline to submit SFC Claim is one week prior to course commencement.
Step 5 (on Skillsfuture Website):
If your SFC submission was completed successfully, the status of your submission would reflect as "PENDING".
Your registration is confirmed after your SkillsFuture claim status reflect as "APPROVED".
*Should you choose to cancel your SFC claim before the start date, Brahm Centre reserves the right to impose a penalty fee for course withdrawal.
Trainer Bio:
Paul Lee is a Singapore-born artist, art therapist, and consultant. He is the founder of UniqArts and Technologies. Paul holds a Master in Arts-Art Therapy with LASALLE College of the Arts, and a Bachelor of Management Degree with Royal Melbourne Institute of Technologies. He is also trained in fine arts at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA). Paul is the creator of the virtual art classroom www.onlineartclass.com and author of the children’s book - Drawing is Easy. Paul has facilitated many creative art projects for therapeutic and developmental purposes, both for children and adults. He has experience running individual and group art therapy treatment for children and adults in schools and hospitals.
