WATERCOLOUR ABSTRACT EXPRESSIONS WORKSHOP

An intuitive and playful watercolour workshop

Join us for an inspiring evening of creative exploration with artist Nancy Benoy, currently exhibiting at Vero Gallery Cafe. This hands-on workshop invites you to move beyond painting “things” and instead discover how colour, shape, and line can come together to form your own abstract visual language.

Through guided instruction, participants will explore foundational watercolour techniques such as wet-on-dry application and brush control, while experimenting with colour combinations designed to evoke emotion and expression. The focus is on creative play, relaxation, and building confidence — no experience is needed.

Nancy Benoy is a contemporary abstract artist and educator based in Hamilton, Ontario, with over 20 years of creative practice rooted in curiosity, experimentation, and play. Her work spans painting, collage, assemblage, and sculpture, often exploring sustainable materials and process-based approaches.

Nancy is an active arts advocate in the Hamilton community, facilitating workshops and contributing to arts initiatives, including her award-recognized podcast ArtToGo. Her work has been exhibited at major venues and art events across Ontario.
