Watercolor Still Life Class

Come explore the beauty of still life painting in this relaxed two-hour watercolor class! You’re invited to bring a few small, meaningful objects from home that you’d like to incorporate into your painting. We’ll arrange our own still life compositions and a group composition and work directly from observation, painting what we see from our individual viewpoints.
I’ll guide you through demonstrations and share tips for composition, drawing, color mixing, light, shadows, and creating depth with watercolor. You’ll have plenty of time to experiment and develop your painting while learning how to capture the character and atmosphere of your chosen objects.
Everyone will create a unique still life painting based on their own arrangement and perspective. All experience levels are welcome!
Water cups, paper towels, and watercolor paper will be provided. I’ll also have a few extra supplies on hand if you need them—just ask when you arrive!
