This 3-hour mini workshop will explore the use of a variety of watercolor techniques to enhance any art piece. From basics to unconventional tools, you will leave with a journal reference of information to use when creating your next painting. We will conclude by creating a final painting of your choice, using your newly acquired skills.
Suggested watercolor supplies you should bring: (you will work with what you have or borrow mine)
- Paint (minimum of 3 colors – red – blue – yellow)
- Brushes, rags, tissues, spritzer spray bottle, tooth picks, q-tips
- Board and masking tape or staple gun to adhere paper down, water containers
- Reference photos or idea for final painting (not necessary)
- 5 plus - watercolor canvas and or watercolor paper (5 x 7 to 11 x14)
(the higher quality paper will give better results) (hot, cold, rough, watercolor canvas)
- Apron (we may get messy)
- Notebook and 2 pencils/pen/fine sharpie marker
- Hair dryer (not necessary)
