Watercolor on Textured Substrate

Join Patti Overholt to learn a fun and simple still life watercolor technique. She will give you a drawing lesson and instruct you in painting on a textured canvas. Unlike watercolor on paper, this technique is very forgiving. The paint can be erased, giving you freedom to explore!

The slightly unusual substrate primer used for this technique creates a great textured foundation for your watercolor work and can also be used to add texture among layers of watercolor. Artist-instructor Patti Overholt is an award-winning oil painter and watercolorist with years of experience in both teaching and painting. She's excited to share what she's learned from her experimentation in her own work by walking you through creating your own painting from start to finish at this two-hour workshop!

This class is for adult artists who have some watercolor painting experience - "advanced beginners" are welcome.
