Bio:
MARK CASKIE was born in Richmond, Virginia, and earned his MFA at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He has published poetry in numerous literary journals including Connecticut River Review, Story South, Split Rock Review, Greensboro Review, storySouth, and Kakalak. His poems often reflect his engagement with the natural world. Before his retirement, Mark worked as a high school English and creative writing teacher and later as a magazine editor. His debut collection is Field Notes for Extinction (Grayson Books, April 2026). Mark’s website is https://markcaskie.com.

Following the featured program & a 15-minute break for featured poet's book sales/signings, stick around to enjoy the OPEN MIC. Kindly support the venue & baristas, & featured poet if you can.
OPEN MIC Guidelines:
Arrive by 6:30–6:45 to sign up in person. Spots are limited & go quickly. No holds.
Each open mic reader has (at host’s discretion) up to 5 minutes on stage to share 1–2 one-page poems. Keep intro/comments brief.
