Visit monca on Friday, January 9th from 6:30-8PM for Water We Love and Respect You - A Ceremony 💧
Guided by locals, Rakel Kieding and Sara Haskell, the ceremony will create an intentional space to reintegrate the cultural reverence for water 🪷
The current exhibition on view at the museum is titled H2O and features artwork of many mediums depicting water literally or metaphorically and in all its forms. Imagine waves, ice, mist, along with tranquility, strength, and clarity. To pair with the exhibition, Rakel and Sara invite you to build community and learn to cultivate a relationship to water, shifting from consumption to communion through story, song, dance, prayer and play.

According to Kieding and Haskell, ceremony acts for humans as a vortex does for water. Joining together heals and structures our thoughts and feelings into a healthy natural flow of vitality.

Rakel Kieding is a Compassionate Inquiry® Certified Practitioner trained by Gabor Maté. While 1:1 deep psycho-emotional work takes priority in her practice, she also holds space for the group work and ceremony that she regards as fundamental to human harmony.
Sara Haskell grew up in ceremony circles here in northern California. Crafting her own spiritual path, she seeks to empower others to explore their own spiritual sovereignty based in gratitude and respect with the living world around us.
