Water Safety Family Event
Families will learn:
• How drowning happens and how to recognize the warning signs
• The importance of active supervision around water
• Basic rescue principles and when to call for help
• Life jacket safety and proper fit
• Emergency response skills that can help save a life
• Tips for becoming more comfortable and confident around water
Special guest speaker Leah Sindt from the American Heart Association will share valuable information about water safety and emergency preparedness.
The event will also feature:
• Water Safety Story Time at 5:30 PM
• Kid-friendly activities and games
• A healthy summer snack for participants
Whether your family spends time at pools, lakes, beaches, or water parks, this fun and educational event will provide practical skills that can help keep everyone safer around water.
