DESCRIPTION - This presentation is a continuation of the workshop offered last September, "A Sense of Place" presented by Pauline Paré. All are welcome regardless of whether you attended the first one. Pauline returns to share with us the climate friendly practice of "drip irrigation." Using drip irrigation puts water where you need it, prevents erosion, and reduces plant disease. This will be a hands-on workshop and we will be outside for part of it as Pauline demonstrates the process of setting up a drip irrigation system. Please dress accordingly.PRESENTER - Pauline Paré grew up on a small farm in Vassalboro. She and her siblings now own and operate the farm. They sell hay, firewood and raspberries. She lives in Etna and has a small farm with goats, poultry, large gardens, and a spot to admire amazing sunsets. Pauline retired from the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service after 37 years of service. She now volunteers with the Bangor Chapter of the Citizen Climate Lobby.
