About this Event
Join District Manager Erin Kilcullen to discuss the work Deschutes Soil & Water Conservation District is doing in urban and non-urban areas to help protect Central Oregon's water quality and forest health. Learn how to support DSWCD's mission and tap into the valuable resources they offer to the community, including free technical support and financial assistance to help manage and improve your land.
Then hear from Jennifer "Bugs" Sawyer of Go Hive Yourself about regenerative growing techniques you can use in your own back yard to rewild urban landscapes and create ecological balance "on a middle-class budget."
Stay on for a Q&A at the conclusion of both talks!
Deschutes Soil and Water Conservation District is dedicated to conserving, protecting and enhancing the natural resources of Deschutes County. They address environmental challenges across urban and rural areas through regional partnerships, voluntary programs and educational outreach. By working together, they aim to foster a healthier environment for our community.
Go Hive Yourself allocates a portion of their proceeds to purchasing wildflower seeds and other species that help restore pollinator and wildlife habitat. These seeds are accessible to the Central Oregon community and offered free of charge.
