Dear Friends and Colleagues,We invite you to join us for a special screening and community celebration of The Rotating Chef at the YMI Cultural Center on Friday, March 29, at 4:00 PM. This new Amazon Prime series, created by Caleb Owolabi and produced by EMSDC, brings special guest chefs into the spotlight, offering an intimate look into their personal lives and the experiences that have shaped their culinary journeys.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Public Health Nutrition and Cooking Educator Shaniqua Simuel, creator/producer Caleb Owolabi, and director/editor Elijah York will share behind-the-scenes insights about the series. Deborah Holt Noel, host of PBS-NC's North Carolina Weekend and Black Issues Forum, will discuss her experiences in media and the future of storytelling.
Guests will enjoy hors d’oeuvres, including bites by Chef Mike Reppert of The Blackbird Restaurant and a specialty beverage from Shaniqua Simuel's time on the show.
