Waste to Wonder: Monthly Volunteer Upcycling Event

AUGUST 1ST DATE IS CANCELLED. We will instead be at the Unity in Community Fair displaying the process at an outreach table.

Join us for an afternoon of making paper, enjoying company, and sharing a snack over the break!

Waste to Wonder transforms the paper waste caused by shredding documents into new paper that will be donated to participating HCPSS art classrooms! Paper-making will be every first Saturday of the month.

The new upcycled paper will be dropped off at participating school's front offices. The first drop off is scheduled for when schools open for fall preparations.

To sign up as a monthly volunteer Waste to Wonder delivery driver, bringing upcycled paper to participating schools, use the following idealist link (https://ideali.st/KzzBtB) or email [email protected] with the subject line "Waste to Wonder Delivery Volunteer". Volunteer Wonder Delivery Drivers must commit to 5 months (5 total delivery runs), be willing to complete a background check, and be available during school hours on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday the week following the 1st Saturday of the month.
