Join the Waste Connections Youth Trash Pickup Team!

Waste Connections is launching a monthly Youth Trash Pickup Team for ages 8–18, offering a great way to give back to the community. Each month, we’ll tackle a new location to keep our neighborhoods clean and green! (Parents are welcomed and encouraged to join.)

As incentive, participants who join six out of nine cleanup events throughout the year will qualify for an exciting Trash Olympics at the end of the year—featuring fun challenges and prizes!

Every cleanup with start with a biref safety meeting at the Waste Connections Sustainability Campus in Maryalnd Heights. From there we will go to our location of the day.

The Waste Connections Sustainability Campus was approched by a young member of the public, Miles, enquiring if Waste Connections had a trash pickup program to join. Miles is an individual who is is truly passionate about picking up litter. They have a motivation and passion that is unmatched. It is this motivation and passion that Miles has is why the Waste Connections Sustainability Campus decided to start up a Monthly Youth Trash Pickup Team. To bring youthful members of the community together and share this passion Miles had to make his community a cleaner place.
