About this Event

Opening hours

The record office is now open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am until 4pm and Saturday mornings from 9am until 12 noon.


Bookings

There are no limits to how many sessions you can have booked at one time, and you can book a morning and afternoon session on the same day if you wish to.

Slots will be available from 9am until 12.30 and 12.30 until 4pm

You are welcome to arrive anytime between the start and end of your booked session.

Bookings are for searchroom tables, if you only need a microfilm/computer there is no need to book.


Registration

Warwickshire County Record Office is now accepting the Archives Card. Full details can be found online, about registering for the Archives Card.

To apply for an Archives Card, you will need to complete the initial registration process prior to your visit. Facilities are available onsite for visitors who are unable to complete the initial registration prior to visiting. Visitors who wish to use our searchroom, but do not have an Archives card, or cannot provide the required ID will be issued with a temporary ticket (one form of ID will be required for a temporary ticket). CARN tickets will still be accepted until their expiry date.


Document production

You do not need to order documents in advance - we will be operating a full document production service throughout the day. Please note document production will close 30 minutes before the end of each session. However, you can order up to three items per person in advance for free. To pre-order your documents please email [email protected]

Please note that document production closes at 3.30pm (Wed-Fri) and 11.30 am (Sat).


Photography permits

If you intend to photograph documents during your visit, you can purchase a photography permit ahead of time by using one of the links below:

Daily Photography Permit for £8.00

Weekly Photography Permit for £15.00


Searchroom regulations

By booking to visit the record office you are agreeing to abide by our searchroom regulations. A copy of our regulations can be provided at reception and is available on our website.


Car parking

We have a small car park available for visitors, including two accessible parking spaces which can be booked by phone or email.
