Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a warming shelter?
Warming shelters can play an important role in helping our community during extreme cold, but there’s more to it than just opening the doors.
Join the American Red Cross and Cowley County Emergency Management to learn more about warming shelters, what goes into opening one, and how local churches, businesses, and organizations could potentially be part of the effort when the need arises.
📅 Monday, November 16th
⏰ 6:00 PM
📍 Winfield Public Library — 605 College St. (Please note that this presentation is not a program of the Winfield Public Library.)
Whether you're interested in learning more, have questions, or want to explore how your organization could help, we'd love to have you join us!
Let's talk about how we can work together to help Cowley County be better prepared when extreme cold creates a need for additional sheltering options.
