This program will take place at the John E. Pechmann Fishing Education Center at 7489 Raeford Road, Fayetteville, NC 28304.Think fly-fishing is only for cold mountain streams? Think again. 🐟🔥
North Carolina’s lakes, ponds, and rivers offer incredible year-round warm-water fly-fishing—and it goes way beyond throwing poppers at the bank.
Join us for a hands-on workshop that opens the door to chasing bass, panfish, and other warm-water species with a fly rod in every season. You’ll learn where these fish live, how they behave, and how to match your approach to the conditions so you can fish smarter and more confidently.
In this class, you’ll learn how to:
Target common warm-water species and understand their behavior
Choose the right gear for lakes, ponds, and rivers
Apply effective fly-fishing techniques for warm-water fish
Master the oval cast for throwing large flies and sinking lines
Before you register:
Completion of the Basic Fly-Casting Workshop (NC WRC Fishing Education Team) is required
Participants must be 13 years or older
Wear close-toed shoes, a visor-style hat, and eye protection
If you’re ready to expand your fly-fishing skills, fish new water, and unlock opportunities all year long—this class is your next cast. 🎣
