As part of our annual charity event, Landon won the ability to design the tournament for March, here it is!On March 28th there will be a 1000pt Age of Sigmar rotating team tournament.
The theme of this event will be "The End Times".
Players will build a 1000pt matched play legal list and will have a different teammate each round. And if you just want to have a basic experience, that's all you need to know! See you then!

Players will be placed into one of two "groups" based on their chosen faction.
Group 1 "Prevent the End Times" - All order and death armies
Group 2 "End all the times!" - All chaos and destruction armies
First round - players will be randomly placed on a team with someone from the same group, and will be randomly paired vs a team from the opposing group.
Second and Third rounds - Will function largely the same, but matchups will be made based on VPs. (as best we can)
Note: In the interest of fun, all efforts will be made to prevent duplicate teams/pairings. Also, in the event of uneven groups, death or destruction players may be placed into opposing groups. In the End Times, Death and Destruction armies often had their own agendas! New players may be placed with a coach team-mate for a better experience, and the ringer (greg) may have to play a full 2000pt army.
Trophies will be awarded to the following players:
"The Archaon Award" - The player in the winning group with the most wins, with VPs as tiebreaker
"The Malekith Award" - The player in the losing group with the most wins, with VPs as tiebreaker
"The Mannfred Award" - The player with the lowest VPs in either group
"The Alarielle Award" - The player with the best painted army, as chosen by Greg
"The Karl Franz Award" - The player with the most end times themed army, as voted on by players
Prize money will be evenly distributed as store credit to the Group with the most wins! (tiebreaker VPs)
How Games will work:
-Players will choose two Battle tactics as part of their list creation as normal. At the beginning of each game, teams will choose 2 battle tactics from among those on their lists to try and achieve.
-Drops will be added together (ie if Landon has 2 drops and Greg has 3, their team would be 5 drops)
-Priority rolls may be rolled with two dice. (rerolls affect both dice).
-Players will share a pool of Command Points and will generally function as a single army. (you will only have access to your own manifestation lores)
-Most abilities nowadays are faction keyworded, so if you have a question about rules interaction, the general assumption will always be that "your rules don't buff your team mates units".
Players are encouraged to signup early and choose a faction in BCP so its visible. This will help groups be more even. Strategizing with members from your own group prior to the tournament is also encouraged. Just watch out for those pesky death and destruction players switching sides the day of! 🙂
