The Armoury is going to be running a 40k Ladder League. Here are the details:
Entry: $35
Duration: 8 weeks total. Two 4 week cycles.
Format: Ladder League
Spots: 16
All player that sign up get a warhammer 40k Combat Gauge and a token sheet from the prize kit!
Prizes: (based on 12 people)
First Session:
1st: $50
2nd $40
3rd $30
4th $20
Second Session:
1st $50 (plus 1st place store champion trophy)
2nd $40
3rd $30
4th $20
Best painted army (1000pts) $40
Best Sport $40
Each week people will challenge others in the league to climb their way to the top.
First 4 weeks of August is the first session. Next 4 weeks of September is the second session.
Challenging:
Each player will have a spot on the league board and that spot will be their ranking. Players may challenge anyone on the board and scoring works as follows:
Players are ranked on the board from 1st-however many players there are based on their total number of points they are worth.
Challenging a player above you: You get points based on the amount of spots between you and the opponent on the board. So if they are ranked 2nd and you are ranked 8 there is a 6 spot differential. If you win your game you earn 6pts and move up the board according to how many points you are now currently worth. If your opponent wins they earn half points rounding down, so in the above case 3pts.
Challenging below you: Works the same way as above, only you would be only earning half rounding down on your win because you would be the opponent in this case.
