Come by Phantasm Gaming and play in our Warhammer
Doubles Tournament! Check out the info below and register through the Best Coast Pairing link above.
WHEN: February 21st, 9:30AM - 7:30PM (Doors open at 9AM)
COST: $30, with $5 going towards upkeep costs, $5 for food, and the remaining $20 being split for prize support to the top standings and a smoking boots award for last place. Tickets can be purchased through BCP or in-store. Food will be provided (Pizza, wings, etc, with more depending on attendance). Each player will also receive a 15% discount coupon, good for the day.
ATTENDANCE CAP: This event will be capped at 32 teams of two.
FORMAT: 3 rounds, Swiss-style teams tournament using Chapter Approved: Mission Pack (10th Edition - 2025) missions. Battle scale is 2000 points, with 1000 points for each player. Each player's battle force will be an incursion force, and abilities limited by battle size (i.e. Pain Tokens, units in reserve, etc.) are incursion-sized. We will be using all up-to-date points, rules, errata & FAQs for tournament play (released as of midnight on Friday 2/20/25). Each round will be 2 hours and 45 minutes, with 45 minutes between rounds.
LISTS: Each player's list must be submitted on or before the day of the event via the BCP app. Each player may only take a single faction, with the exception of legal allied models (250 pts max), and both players on a team must play a different army. Any two armies may be on the same team, regardless of normal faction restrictions but may not be the same faction. Each player nominates a warlord.
DOUBLES RULES: Both players each gain 1 CP per turn during the command phase, but may only spend CP on their own stratagems and units. Teammates do not benefit from each other's special rules (auras, prayers, canticles, etc), but debuffs on enemy models can be exploited by teammates (-1 toughness aura, etc.). Debuffs that do the same effect from separate teammates do not stack. Teammates each place one unit during alternating deployment.
HOBBY STANDARD: All models must be WYSIWYG, on the correct sized base. Any proxies must be approved by TOs. No painting requirement (All players receive the painting bonus of 10 points). Anyone who doesn't place in the top 4 who has a fully painted army will be entered into a raffle for an additional prize.
MISSIONS: Each round will be played on Terrain layout 1. Missions will be from the Pariah Nexus tournament mission pool, and will be the following:
Round 1 - Mission S - Linchpin, Dawn of War
Round 2 - Mission E - Take and Hold, Hammer and Anvil
Round 3 - Mission K - Scorched Earth, Search and Destroy
The NEO FAQ will be in use: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1JN8e4L1Hhy2-fLtoYm4HDWig5VMy6bwXnP4_fcwaX1s/edit?usp=sharing
