Horus Heresy- The conquest of Incomdomnatrix
Goodness me another edition! More units appearing out of nowhere that have always been there right! With it comes allot of excitement at Incom as another Campaign will begin set in the Sub-Sector Incomdomnatrix, a once small and neglected system of the imperium has become the epicentre of the traitors crusade, whilst it does not lie directly in the Warmasters path to Terra, he has commanded the system to burn to prevent its use as a staging ground for loyalist counter assaults, the pillaging of the forge world Deckdan in hopes of finding hidden technologies that are whispered to lie inside.
Within the sector lies three Major planets:
Season 1 & 2 - Hive world Incomdomnatrix:
Incomdomnatrix is the capital of the sector containing the sprawling Hive City of Incomus, legends tell this system was once a grand merchant before the age of strife, Selling forgotten beverages and plastic toys at the same time (at the same time? Madness i say)…
Season 3 - Forge world Deckdan:
The Forge world of Deckdan was never a strategic goal for the imperium, its forges were long silent, but the tireless effort of the mechanicum has seen it very recently come back to life once gain producing supplies of gaming stuffs to potentially supply the entire Galaxy.
Season 4 - Ackrayus:
Ackrayus is a feral jungle world determined to dangerous and unworthy of the effort to be colonised by newly growing Imperium. In truth the Aeldari have been diverting the watch of the Imperium away from the planet for their own neptharius reasons.
Campign Structure:
It begins. The traitors have launched there daunting assault on the sector. Breaching through the outer orbital defences their fleet has assembled above the hive world Incomus all planets and moons will soon be within their grasp and each will be claimed and abused for their new masters’. The Loyalists fleet has pulled away from the planet waiting for the perfect time to strike back.
Like rain, the Traitors fall into orbit. Blotting out the sky with drop pods, landing craft and aircraft. With it comes the downpour of the opening bombardment hoping to quell any attempt of resistance. But the defenders are ready, remaining stoic, they stand against the traitors like rock against the tide, ready for the moment the tides of battle change for their moment to strike back. The titanic battle for Sector Incomdomnatrix has begun.
Players are NOT confined to playing as one allegiance and using the same list or army. This is designed to be casual and playing about on both sides or army is perfectly fine (fluffy in many cases).
All games must be played with one side as Loyalist and one side as Traitor. Should a Traitor vs Traitor or loyalist vs loyalist matchup occurs, players need to determine the more traitorous force or the more loyalist force for the purpose of scoring. This is the same as if both sides bring Unaligned factions.
E.G Tom and Will have planned a game of Legions Imperialis for the campaign. Tom brings his Word Bearers whilst Will has brought Dark Mechanicum. After discussion, narratively, the Word Bearers caused this whole mess and are therefore always more traitorous. Therefore, Will will count as loyalist for the results of the game.
What rulesets can I use.
Any ruleset you wish, this is campaign that’s narrative driven and therefore open to whatever people wish to play. The one stipulation is they must be set in the 30k setting.
Wait! Does that mean I could play Battlefleet gothic games and they would count? Of course that’s the intention!
Can I use custom rulesets and codexs? Such as the ork and Aeldari LI fan made ruleset.
On the subject of custom rulesets we would ask you to refrain from this, custom missions are allowed with permission from your opponent. As for fan made codex’s we welcome you to use them, however you must get permission from your opponent before you book/ plan the game.
