Forming in Plymouth in 2011, they have spent their time honing their songwriting craft through relentless touring, practicing and releasing three seminal albums. 2025 finds them in peak form, coming off the back of their most recent release, The Howling Silence, and leaning into their death metal influences to bring some good old, lightning-speed crustiness to their molasses-thick, groove laden, visceral sound. Thoughtseize are Falmouth and Penryn's very own death metal outfit - bringing a DIY punk ethos to their blend of blackened death metal/powerviolence. Juggernaught riffs, merciless bass shredding and groove-centric blastbeats have been creating frenzied audiences in the South West for the last year or so. Thoughtseize are proving that kick ass metal can flourish in any small town... even Penryn. For fans of Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Black Breath, and Magic the Gathering.
Bolt Action is the brainchild of Lostwithiel's most prolific and talented extreme metal drummer, Andrew Bolton. His one-man grindcore outfit put out two albums worth of material, 2019's Born to Riff and 2022's Animalian Retribution. The latter of which leaned heavily into themes of animal rights, capitalism, and humankind's mistreatment of other species. Bolt Action is pure thrash/punk influenced grindcore in the territory of early Napalm Death and Pig Destroyer. 2025 sees a much anticipated full band version of Bolt Action coming to a stage near you.
