With a grateful and humble heart, we want to share an important update regarding the future of the ACTS Aviation – Warbirds Over South Texas 2026 event.Over the past few years, this event has grown far beyond what we originally imagined. With that growth comes a responsibility to ensure the highest level of safety for our attendees, our historic aircraft, and the incredible crews who bring them to life. As we’ve expanded, we’ve also observed instances where general aviation activity did not align with the level of safety required for an event of this scale.
Moving forward, additional FAA filings (Parachute Jumps, Airport Closures For Events, TFR, etc.) and oversight are best managed through local government entities, and are necessary to properly support a large aviation event like this.
Because of this, we have made the difficult but thoughtful decision to place the November 2026 event on pause while we transition airshow operational ownership to Aransas County Airport and under a NEW event/airshow name (This is exciting).
This step will help ensure the airshows in Rockport TX continues in a way that prioritizes safety, structure, and long-term sustainability.
We also see this as an opportunity to grow in a meaningful way, expanding the educational mission beyond history alone, and creating even greater impact for future generations.
The ACTS Aviation – Warbirds Over South Texas team is not stepping away. We will continue to serve in a consulting role, sharing our experience, relationships within the airshow community, and our passion for preserving and promoting historical aviation.
In the meantime, our mission continues. ACTS Aviation will be bringing smaller “micro-events” under are trademark name Warbirds Over South Texas across our region, and we’re excited to share more details with you soon.
