The sheltered waters of the Clyde and Upper Sea Lochs have provided a perfect location throughout the ages for military training both on land and on the water.Spend 4 days exploring wrecks and sites associated with the war effort. Time will also be given to explore the land based sites of HMS Brontosaurus and HMS Armadillo which provided the vital training required for sea based combat. Also, learn more about the small boat building yard in Sandbank where numerous Motor Torpedo Boats (MTB) were built.
Wreckspeditions have teamed up with the Castle House Museum in Dunoon to create a booklet to accompany this trip providing information on all these local sites. You will also be given a tour of the Museum where you will find information on Dunoon through the wars.
Dates: Friday 18th – Monday 21st April 2025
Cost: £270pp for 4 days diving. This cost includes an information booklet and a museum visit.

3 x Motor Torpedo Boats – 12m max, 25m max and 45m max.
Paddlesteamer Iona – max. 30m
Landing Crafts – max. 20m
Explore West Bay for remnants of the anti-submarine boom which extended across the Clyde - 25m max
Loch Long Torpedos - 20m max
Converted Motor Gun Boat -18m max
Possible anchor to identify as belonging/not belonging to the HMS Hood.
