Hi everyoneThe fourth points event of the 2026 W.A.R. Driver Championship/"Pom" Jones Trophy are the 2026 Sideways GT Championships to be held on Saturday 21 March 2026 from 4pm.
There will be 2 classes of racing:
Class 1 – Sideways GT3/GTE class - 8 x 5 minute heats on the WAR track
Class 2 – Sideways Group 5 class - 8 x 5 minute heats on the WAR track
There is a $15 entry fee per class up to a maximum entry fee of $20.
The winner of each class of the 2026 Sideways GT Championships will be awarded 50 points towards the 2026 W.A.R. Driver Championship/"Pom" Jones Trophy.
Contact W.A.R. for the class rules and the conduct rules.
Plaques and certificates will be awarded to the drivers finishing first, second and third in each class, as well as to the driver who wins the Race Director's Award in each class.
Spectators are most welcome to attend as well.
RACE PROGRAM - SATURDAY 21 March 2026
10AM – 3.45PM PRACTICE & SCRUTINEERING FOR ALL CLASSES
3.45PM SCRUTINEERING ENDS
4PM – 5.30PM RACING FOR THE SIDEWAYS GT3/GTE CLASS
BREAK
6PM – 7.30PM RACING FOR THE SIDEWAYS GROUP 5 CLASS
There are also three practice sessions scheduled before the Sideways GT Championships:
Wednesday 18 March 2pm - 9pm
Thursday 19 March 2pm - 9pm
Friday 20 March 2pm - 9pm
There is a $15 entry fee for attending practice sessions, but that one entry fee covers your attendance to ALL the practice sessions.
It should be a great day of GT racing.
