Hi everyoneThe first points event of the 2026 W.A.R. Driver Championship/"Pom" Jones Trophy is the 11th running of the Mick Spry Memorial Trophy-Bathurst Challenge to be held on Saturday 31 January 2026 from 4pm.
The trophy is named in honour of our much missed late friend and fellow racer, who was the reigning W.A.R. Bathurst Challenge Champion at the time when he left us much too early.
There will be 3 rounds of racing:
Round 1 - 3 x 3 minute heats on the FPR track for the 132 Skinny Touring Cars class
Round 2 - 8 x 3 minute heats on the WAR track for the 132 Classic Touring Cars class
Round 3 - 8 x 3 minute heats on the WAR track for the 132 Sideways GT3/GTE class
Points will be awarded to each driver based on their finishing position in each round.
The winner of the Mick Spry Trophy-Bathurst Challenge will be the driver with the most accumulated points over the three rounds raced.
$15 entry fee
The winner of the Mick Spry Trophy-Bathurst Challenge will be awarded 100 points towards the 2026 W.A.R. Driver Championship/"Pom" Jones Trophy.

Trophies will be awarded to the drivers finishing first, second and third, as well as to the driver who wins the Race Director's Trophy.
Spectators are most welcome to attend as well.

10am - 3.45PM PRACTICE & SCRUTINEERING
4PM - 7.30PM RACING FOR THE MICK SPRY TROPHY-BATHURST CHALLENGE
There are also three practice sessions scheduled before the Mick Spry Trophy-Bathurst Challenge:
Wednesday 28 January 2pm - 9pm
Thursday 29 January 12 Noon - 9pm
Friday 30 January 12 Noon - 9pm
There is a $15 entry fee for attending practice sessions, but that one entry fee covers your attendance to ALL the practice sessions.
It should be a great day of Bathurst racing to honour our great mate.
