WAMC "Fill the Truck" Food Drive

WAMC calls on the community to help “fill the truck” Thanksgiving week, in collaboration with The Food Pantries of The Capital Region.
About this Event

WAMC On The Road calls on the WAMC community to help “fill the truck” Thanksgiving week, at our community food drive in collaboration with The Food Pantries for The Capital Region. The WAMC team will set up shop at the Food Pantries main office on Essex Street in Albany between 10am - 2pm accepting groceries, gift cards and donations to fill a distribution truck that will head out to pantries across the capital region to assist families in need during the Thanksgiving holidays and beyond.

In addition, WAMC will broadcast a special live from the food drive, 12pm - 1pm, spotlighting how food pantries address the challenges of food scarcity and hunger in their mission. We’ll be talking with a variety of professionals and volunteers from across the food pantry supply chain, and engaging with the community that gathers to help us “fill the truck.”
