Did you know that we have a world-class celebration of independent cinema happening right here in E17?
The Walthamstow International Film Festival (WiFF) is back for 2026, and we are bringing an incredible line-up of international and home-grown talent straight to the heart of our community.
Join us for a fantastic, family-friendly full-day programme showcasing a curated selection of fast-paced, brilliant short films (all clocked at 6 minutes and under!). From raw local energy to global perspectives, this is your chance to experience cinema that is bold, creative, and completely independent.
📅 When & WhereDate: Sunday 28th June 2026
Time: 12:00 Noon to 6:00 PM
Venue: Walthamstow Trades Hall, 61-63 Tower Hamlets Road, London, E17 4RQ
Suitability: Family-friendly (and well-behaved pooches are welcome too!)
🏆 What’s on the Programme?Expect a vibrant, rolling showcase of bite-sized films spanning a diverse range of genres:
🎬 Drama – Powerful storytelling in miniature.
🎨 Animation – Mind-bending visuals and creative art styles.
🌿 Documentary – Real stories, raw energy, and big perspectives.🌀 Experimental – Pushing the boundaries of traditional filmmaking.
🌱 Young Emerging Talent – Celebrating the next generation of creators. Come for an hour or stay for the whole afternoon! You will also be the first to find out who takes home the 2026 category awards and the coveted Audience Vote.

The Rule: Films must be under 6 minutes. We value raw energy over big budgets!
