Walt Forehand Celebration of Life & Paddleout

The memorial will start at 5:30pm and will be held on the beach at North 10th Street in Flagler Beach.
Starting with a celebration of life, cuz as we know he was always the life of the party. Followed by a paddle out where we will celebrate him in his favorite place on earth, the ocean.

Walter “Walt” Forehand enjoyed many years serving as the chief/captain of Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue. It was his goal in life to grow the organization and teach young waterman the way of the ocean.
He served later in life as a bartender and host, conjuring many an interesting conversation at places like the meeting place, breakaways, and the Hilton Garden Inn, in Palm coast and from what I’ve heard was the life of the party with many of his dogs in Colorado.
Once he rolled into Flagler beach with a truck load of his stuff he found his forever home with his two dogs at the time.
He made it his goal to serve Flagler county to the best of his extent and it’s in our opinion that he did that to the fullest.
He served every way he could not only including his public service throughout the years but also in the Kiwanis club, Rotary club and not even to mention his efforts to design the now Headquarters on the pier for Flagler Beach Ocean Rescue.
He always wanted it known that the FBOR headquarters was his design and was so proud to see it become a reality.
