Led by internationally renowned Alexander Technique teacher Bruce Fertman, this immersive workshop will gently shift your relationship with one of the most fundamental movements of your life: walking.
Based on the upcoming book Walking Well: A New Approach for Comfort, Vitality, and Inspiration in Every Step, co-authored by Bruce Fertman and Michael J. Gelb, the workshop offers a fresh, deeply embodied approach to walking—one that respects aging, injury, and the body's natural design.
This is not physical therapy. It’s not about pushing harder.
It’s about learning how to move with intelligence, sensitivity, and support—so that walking becomes something that nourishes you, instead of wearing you down.

About Bruce Fertman
Bruce has spent a lifetime studying, practicing, and teaching the Alexander Technique. He brings more than 50 years of experience and a deep poetic insight into the connection between body, mind, and spirit. His approach is gentle, artful, and radically effective.
Bruce teaches internationally and is known for helping people rediscover ease in their bodies—regardless of age or physical limitation.
