This lively and informative tour will explore the city’s early theaters and hotels—once central to Evansville’s entertainment and hospitality scene. Although many of these buildings no longer stand, their stories reveal the important roles they played in shaping the cultural and social life of the community.
Terry Hughes is a retired educator, film historian, and board member emeritus of the Vanderburgh County Historical Society.
Tom Lonnberg serves as Chief Curator and Curator of History at the Evansville Museum of Arts, History & Science and is the current president of the Vanderburgh County Historical Society.
Tour Details:
- Departure Point: Corner of First and Locust Streets, across from the McCurdy Apartments
